This Is your Life was a UK TV program shown on the ITV channel. The presenter would surprise the guest at an unexpected location by saying the well known phrase - "This Is Your Life" and then taking them off to a studio to present the show.

Months of careful planning had usually been in place; with the family of the star guest heavily involved in contacting old friends and relations; some that may not have been in touch for many years. This Is Your Life was eventually axed in the 1990's along with it's final presenter - Michael Aspel.
