Cirque du Soleil is, unquestionably, a phenomenon and Delirium is no exception. This multi-faceted event unites multidisciplinary artists, creators and crew. A show that fuses technical magnitude, human introspection and creative prowess to an extent that almost defies logic. A show where performers float beneath balloons or twirl at incredible speed from wires that are almost invisible and all this is without mentioning what’s happening on the stage itself in the meantime.

Then there are the graphics, the music and the lighting. Not only are images placed on two I-Max screens to the sides but also, courtesy of a gauze screen stretching the width of the 104-foot stage, they become incorporated into the show proper by the artists. Think every giant Rock concert you’ve ever seen and then add the skill of every Olympic gymnast in history for the imagination of the movement on display and you’re about halfway there.

This is more than just eye-candy heaven, however. This is a spectacle with a capital “S”, meticulously performed and choreographed, and is bound to touch every single audience member in very individual ways and all of them good.

With vocalists of all different styles and emotions bringing home the message that all dreams are beautiful, with exquisite clarity, power and prowess, Cirque du Soleil Delirium is a show for which the phrase “not to be missed” was devised and each and every soul responsible for making it happen should be lauded to the hills forever and a day.
